Muvement

Muvement is an app that helps choreographers create and visualize their formations easily.

When staging a performance, choreographers are not only expected to come up with steps and moves; they also face the challenge of organizing a large number of performers on stage. This involves formations that place the performers at various spots throughout the performance to enhance the movements, portray an image or simply move the performers from one point to another for easier stage movement.

The traditional way of creating formations is by using pen and paper, where the choreographer would draw a top-down view of the stage, allocate certain symbols to represent the different performers, and plot these symbols onto the paper to represent where these performers should be standing. While such a method is straightforward and quite intuitive, it can be insufficient, especially when dealing with many performers, complicated formations and fast transitions.
